A few days before xmas 2005, we received a mysterious package in the mail. It was addressed to:
Lenny Pigwidgeon
I was immediately suspicious. What had the boys gotten into. I've never seen a website with one-click mail order cilantro but the internet is rather vast and these guys can be pretty quick when they get their paws on a laptop.
Ends up it was a xmas gift from grandma. Opening the box revealed a block of styrofoam. We joked that perhaps grandma sent some veggies. Oh the irony. Grandma took a Williams-Sonoma insulated gift package, refroze the ice pack, and crammed it full of cilantro and parsley.
We opened the lid and were floored (good thing we were sitting down) by the hilarity of this shipped styrofoam box of cilantro. With both of us saying 'cilantro' repeatedly the boys were all excited, so we let them inspect their xmas gift. Lennie wasn't quite sure what to do with this windfall, but Pigwidgeon dug right in and the first two times we tried to pick him up, some of the cilantro came with him as he was nibbling.
